Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some of the most common questions we get. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, feel free to reach out to us directly.

How much data do I need to provide, and how long does it take to get a report?

You’ll only need to provide key top-line financial data—actuals and/or projections, depending on your brand’s stage—as well as responses to a few qualitative questions. The entire process, including generating your report, can be completed in as little as 20 minutes.

Can I run “what if” scenarios? Is that included in the fee?

Yes. You can easily test “what if” scenarios by adjusting your inputs and reviewing updated results on screen. The $499 single-report version includes access to the tool and one downloadable, formal report. The $999 annual program allows you to run up to five formal reports throughout the year—ideal if you anticipate revising financial projections or if BEValuator releases algorithm updates. Most users find value in revisiting scenarios as their business evolves.

Is this an official brand appraisal?

No. A formal brand appraisal involves extensive due diligence and is typically far more costly. Instead, BEValuator uses data from historical spirits brand transactions to identify key pre-sale metrics that consistently drive valuation. The tool provides strong indicators of a brand’s current and potential future value—useful for brand owners, investors, or potential acquirers.

What if my brand’s sales were impacted by a unique event?

BEValuator accounts for extraordinary events—such as COVID or tariffs—that may skew typical sales trends. A specific qualitative input allows users to flag these situations, and our algorithms may adjust volume projections when they significantly deviate from historical transaction benchmarks.

Is my data kept confidential?

Yes, your confidential information is kept confidential. Over time, BEValuator may analyze anonymized, aggregate data from multiple users to highlight industry trends—but only when there’s a large enough sample size to ensure complete confidentiality

What is the “Exit Period” in the BEValuator report?

The Exit Period marks the point in your forecast when your brand may become attractive to strategic buyers. It reflects when your projected scale, profitability (especially CAAP Margin), and brand fundamentals align with what acquirers typically look for. It’s not a prediction of acquisition timing but rather an indication of when your brand could realistically be considered “exit ready.”

Why might my report not show an Exit Period?

Your brand hasn’t yet hit a scale that attracts acquirers. BEValuator looks for a combination of case volume, profitability (especially CAAP Margin), and qualitative strength. If your brand is still early-stage, with low case sales or negative margins, the model may not flag a clear exit opportunity yet.

What should I do if no Exit Period appears?

• Review your CAAP Margin and Net Sales Growth projections, these are central to the quantitative model. • Examine your Quality of Growth and Profit Stability scorecard responses, weak scores in critical areas (e.g., marketing efficiency, distribution, supply chain strength) can limit exit readiness. • Try rerunning the model with different scenarios, especially more aggressive or strategic growth paths that align with investor goals.

Can a brand still grow in value even without an Exit Period?

Absolutely. The Exit Period is just one milestone. Your BEValuator report still shows how value builds over time, even in the “build phase.” This visibility helps you make strategic decisions that increase your likelihood of a future exit.
